How to schedule blocked IP removal
The Blocked IP Cleanup card lets you schedule the removal of every IP that ClickPatrol has blocked for your account. Use it when you want the block list to rebuild from scratch, for example after a big change in your traffic protection settings or your campaign targeting.
Where to find it#
- Log in to your ClickPatrol dashboard.
- Click Configuration in the sidebar.
- Open the Settings tab. The Blocked IP Cleanup card sits at the top.
Schedule the removal#
The card reads: "Manage all blocking actions, choose specific traffic sources to block or remove all blocked IPs."
- Find the row Schedule all blocked IP removals.
- Click the Schedule Blocked IPs Removal button.
As the dashboard explains next to the button: by clicking this, you schedule the unblocking of all blocked IPs. The removal runs within 24 hours.
Before you click#
- This clears your whole block list. Visitors that were blocked can reach your ads again until ClickPatrol blocks them anew.
- ClickPatrol keeps protecting your campaigns afterwards: fraudulent clicks are detected and blocked again as they happen.
- Want to unblock a single IP instead of everything? Add that IP to your whitelist under Configuration → Whitelist IPs.
Good to know#
- How IPs end up on the block list in the first place is controlled by your Click Threshold Rules and your traffic protection settings on the same Settings tab.
