How to use the Analytics page

In Dashboard · Updated

The Analytics page in your ClickPatrol dashboard shows how your traffic splits into legitimate and invalid clicks over time. This is ClickPatrol's own analytics screen; it is not related to the Google Analytics (GA4) integration covered elsewhere in this knowledge base.

Where to find it#

Click Analytics in the sidebar of your ClickPatrol dashboard.

The toolbar#

At the top of the page you find:

  • Date range: the button with the calendar icon shows the current range, for example "11 Aug 2026 - 26 Aug 2026". Click it to pick a different period.
  • Filter: narrow the data down before you read the chart.
  • Search groups...: search within your groups.
  • Save view: store the current combination of range and filters, so you can come back to it later.
  • Export CSV: download the data behind the page as a CSV file.

Read the traffic chart#

The chart is titled Traffic plus the selected period. It plots three series per day:

  • Total traffic (blue): all clicks ClickPatrol received.
  • Legitimate (green): clicks classified as genuine.
  • Invalid (red): clicks classified as invalid.

A steady gap between the blue and green lines with a low red line is the healthy pattern. Spikes in the red line show you exactly on which days invalid traffic hit your campaigns.

Read the Total Clicks donut#

Next to the chart, the Total Clicks card shows the total number of clicks in the selected period, split into:

  • Safe: clicks that were let through, with their share, for example 1,232 (85.26%).
  • Blocked: clicks that were blocked, for example 213 (14.74%).

The per-day table#

Scroll down for a table with one row per day: clicks, legitimate clicks, invalid clicks, the invalid percentage, conversions and the conversion rate. Use it when you need exact numbers instead of the visual trend.

Good to know#

  • Deeper breakdowns by campaign, keyword, device and location live on the Reports page in the sidebar.
  • Data on this page can take up to 30 minutes to appear after a click, though it is often faster.
