Privacy & Data Protection at ClickPatrol
At ClickPatrol, we are committed to protecting your advertising budget from fraud while strictly adhering to the highest standards of data privacy. We understand that trust is the foundation of digital advertising, which is why transparency and compliance are at the core of our technology.
Our Commitment to Privacy Our platform is designed to detect and block invalid traffic, bots, and click fraud. In doing so, we minimize the collection of personal data to only what is strictly necessary for legitimate business purposes. We do not track individuals across the web for behavioral targeting; our focus is solely on analyzing traffic patterns to identify fraudulent activity.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA) For customers operating within the European Union or other jurisdictions requiring a formal data processing arrangement, we offer a comprehensive Data Processing Agreement (DPA). This document outlines our mutual responsibilities regarding the processing of personal data.
If you require a signed DPA for your records or compliance needs, please reach out to our support team. We will be happy to provide you with the necessary documentation.

First-party cookies set by the measurement tag The measurement tag can set these first-party cookies on the advertiser's site. Each cookie has a localStorage backup under the same name, used only when the cookie is missing:
- cp_visitor_id 400 days. Identifies the same visitor across sessions.
- cp_session_id 24 hours, refreshed during the visit. Identifies the same visit.
- cp_class 24 hours. Stores the last classification for that visit (Legitimate or Suspicious, plus the
trafficvalue). No audience flags. - cp_audience 24 hours. Stores the audience object from that classification. If the object is too large for a cookie, it stays in localStorage only.
Anything older than 24 hours, or tied to another session, is thrown away. Visits that never get a ClickPatrol event do not receive cp_class or cp_audience. Once a visit is classified, later pages in that session do not send the page URL or IP to ClickPatrol again.
