How to choose a savings reporting mode
ClickPatrol can report the money it saves you in different ways. The Saving settings tab under Configuration holds one card, Savings (Reporting Mode), where you pick how savings are calculated and shown across your dashboard.
Where to find it#
- Log in to your ClickPatrol dashboard.
- Click Configuration in the sidebar.
- Open the Saving settings tab.
Pick a reporting mode#
The Savings (Reporting Mode) card offers three options:
- Basic Metrics Only
- Fake Click Costs
- Estimated Savings
- Select the radio button of the mode you want.
- Click Update Configuration to apply it.
The mode you pick changes how savings figures are presented in your dashboard; it does not change how ClickPatrol detects or blocks invalid traffic.
Good to know#
- The thinking behind savings, credits and freed-up budget is explained in What is Budget Reallocation?. In short: blocked invalid clicks stop draining your budget, and Google may add credits for invalid clicks it confirms; those show up in your Google Ads billing, not as a payout.
- Agencies reporting to clients can use this switch to match the savings presentation to what they report externally.
