How to use Account Progress
Account Progress shows how far your account protection has come. The page is titled Growth Dashboard at the top, with the subtitle "Track your account protection progress". It splits your first year with ClickPatrol into four phases, each with its own checklist, and lists which traffic sources are connected. Use it to spot setup steps you still need to finish.
Where to find it#
Click Account Progress in the sidebar of your ClickPatrol dashboard.
The four phases#
A progress bar at the top shows the four phases and their time windows:
- Protection Activated (Day 1 - 7): your account is now being monitored in real time.
- Learning Traffic Patterns (Week 2 - Month 2): ClickPatrol identifies recurring invalid traffic behaviour.
- Account Stabilisation (Month 3 - 6)
- Compounding Protection Advantage (Month 6 - 12)
Each phase has its own card with a status badge (such as COMPLETED) and a counter like 7 / 8, which tells you how many checklist items in that phase are done.
Read the checklists#
Every card contains a checklist of concrete setup and protection steps. Examples: "Google Ads connected", "Tracking verified", "ClickPatrol Tag detected on website" and "First 10 ip's excluded on account level". Each item has a small info icon that explains what the step means.
- A green check means the step is done.
- A red X means the step failed or has not happened yet. A phase can show the COMPLETED badge while one item still has a red X, so treat the red items as your to-do list.
Traffic Sources#
Below the phase cards, the Traffic Sources block lists every channel ClickPatrol can receive traffic from: Google, Facebook, Website, Bing, API, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, DV360 and Custom links. Each source shows CONNECTED or NOT CONNECTED, and connected sources show a click count.
A source counts as connected once tagged traffic from that channel reaches ClickPatrol. If a channel you advertise on shows NOT CONNECTED, set up its UTM template or integration first: go to Integration in the sidebar and open the tab for that channel.
Good to know#
- The four phases follow the natural rhythm of click fraud protection: connect and verify first, then let the system learn your traffic, then let protection compound over time.
- Red X items are the fastest way to find gaps in your setup, even months after onboarding.
