Meta - Events

In Channel Guide · Updated (3 hours ago)

By connecting your ClickPatrol events to the Facebook (Meta) Pixel through Google Tag Manager, you enable Facebook to recognize which clicks and visitors are Legitimate or Suspicious. This allows you to build highly accurate audiences inside Facebook, targeting only real, engaged users while excluding suspicious or fraudulent traffic from your ad sets. With these events, you can refine your campaign targeting, improve conversion quality, and protect your ad budget by ensuring Facebook’s optimization algorithms focus only on genuine traffic.

Until confirmed, the events cannot be used for ad optimization, custom audiences, or conversion tracking.

  • Select your Pixel / Data Source that receives the ClickPatrol events.

2. Open the Settings tab.

  • Scroll down to the Data restrictions section.
  • In the Manage custom event blocking section, click Review.

3. Review and confirm events.

  • In the Action required tab, select the ClickPatrol events (e.g. ClickPatrol_Legitimate, ClickPatrol_Suspicious).
  • Click Next.
  • Select Confirm the custom event.

Note: You may also see a warning banner at the top of Events Manager or next to the individual events prompting you to review them. This is normal for any new custom event sent to Meta.
