Meta - Audiences
The goal is to send your ClickPatrol events to Meta Pixel, then build a Custom Audience in Facebook based on those events.
Important check#
In order to be able to build Audiences in Facebook you need to have following steps completed
- Implement ClickPatrol Tag
- Implement Event Trigger
- Added Meta Events
Build a Custom Audience in Facebook based on the events#
- Open Meta Business Suite and go to Audiences.
- Click Create audience → Custom Audience.
- Choose Website as the source.
- Select your Pixel.
- In Events, pick the event you want to include:
- If you used separate events, choose ClickPatrol_legitimate to include only legitimate traffic.
- To exclude bad traffic, create a separate audience from ClickPatrol_suspicious, then use it as an exclusion in ad sets.
- If you used a generic event such as ClickPatrolEvent, add a refine by parameter rule:
status equals legitimateorstatus equals suspicious.
- Set the retention window (for example, 30 days).
- Name your audience clearly, for example CP Legitimate 30d or CP Suspicious 30d.
- Click Create audience.
You can now use the legitimate audience for targeting or lookalikes. Use the suspicious audience as an exclusion in your ad sets.
